Villa Collecimino is a spacious holiday property which can be rented as a whole villa sleeping up to 14, or as 3 separate, self-contained apartments. It is located in 3.5 acres of orchards, olive groves and agricultural land, in the hamlet of San Giorgio (to be featured in Channel 4's next series of 'A Place in the Sun'), on top of Collecimino hill 550 metres above sea-level, with stunning panoramic views of Abruzzo's Gran Sasso and Maiella mountain ranges, and, to the north-east, the Adriatic Sea.

| This apartment (ideal for a romantic break) occupies the ground floor annex (approx. 86 sq.m) of the villa and is completely self-contained with its own private external entrance and patio area. Consisting of a large bedroom (with double/twin beds) large living room/kitchen with patio with spectacular mountain views; shower room, sleeping 2 persons (+ 2 on comfortable sofa beds in the living room, if required). There are also mountain views from every window inside the apartment. (Access to this apartment is via a stone staircase on one side or at ground floor level on the other side). Guests are also welcome to use the garden and grounds surrounding the property, and, of course, the Scandinavian Plunge Pool. |

Villa Collecimino is about 45 minutes' drive from Abruzzo's International Airport in Pescara and 2.5 hours from Rome. You can walk/ski in the mountains in the morning, and swim and sunbathe on the sandy Adriatic beaches in the afternoon. Or explore the historic towns and villages, sail from Pescara's award-winning marina, take the ferry to the beautiful Tremiti Islands or even to Croatia, or just enjoy a glass of Montepulciano d' Abruzzo while watching the constantly changing mountain views.
Coast/Beach:
The sandy beaches of the Adriatic are just 30-40 minutes from our villa. Abruzzo has a very long coast line of pine-fringed, clean, sandy beaches that stretch for more than 15 miles. The shallow, warm waters of the Adriatic are ideal for safe family bathing.
Nearby Pescara is a modern town with a full range of facilities including an outstanding international airport and a large tourist marina, considered to be one of the best marinas in Italy.
Walking/rambling:
National parks cover one-third of the territory of Abruzzo, so there is an abundance of walks and trails of various lengths and levels of difficulty. You can enjoy majestic mountain scenery with a wide variety of flora and fauna, and, if you are lucky, you may spot a wild bear, wolf or chamois.
Or you can just enjoy walking along the by-roads and tracks around Villa Collecimino itself - we have put together a list of approx. 8 local walks (between 1.5 miles). |

| 30% deposit required at the time of booking - by cheque, credit/debit card, or bank transfer Final balance due 8 weeks before arrival at the property. NB. Changeover day is usually Saturday but is flexible. Prices include all bills except central heating which is charged at cost (metered). A breakage deposit of £200 or 300 euros is required on entering the property and is returned on day of departure. We have a No smoking policy at Villa Collecimino - we would ask guests not to smoke inside the apartments, but just in the garden or on the terraces. |
