comfortable stone fisher cottage close to beaches, golf courses and RSPB sanctuary
Pyleigh is a traditional one-and-a-half-storey cottage, dating from around 1780, with large sitting room (can double as a double bed-sitting room), large dining room (can serve as an extra sitting room), fully equipped kitchen and bathroom (bath, shower, toilet) on the ground floor. Upstairs are two bedrooms, one double & one twin, wardrobes and storage area.
Fishertown is a very safe environment for children – the streets being so narrow and not being a ‘through-route’ the small amount of resident traffic has to drive very slowly and you can walk to the park, beaches, swimming pool, cricket pitch and putting green without having to cross any main road.
Nairn is known as the ‘Brighton-of-the-North’ with it’s traditional hotels, promenades, beaches, facilities and climate.

Rental rates include all electricity, gas, heating and all bedding and towels.

Stone-built, detached, cottage in the ancient Fishertown area of Nairn (pop. 11,000) dating from the late 18th century. A simple but comfortable traditional cottage close to beaches and marina. It has full gas-fired central heating and is able to sleep six in two upstairs bedrooms (one double & one twin) and a bed-sitting room downstairs. In the sitting room is an open fire, television/DVD player. The fully equipped kitchen (microwave, gas cooker, washing machine, fridge/freezer) opens off the dining room and has a gas fire as well as a radiator. The large bathroom is on the ground floor with bath, toilet and electric shower.

A walled patio to the front of the cottage with outdoor furniture is suitable for sunbathing/relaxing etc. Parking is at the front. With no steps on the ground floor the cottage is suitable for people with walking difficulties.

.Founded by Royal Charter in 1220 Nairn has two main beaches both two minutes walk from the cottage; there are also miles of sandy beaches extending east to the Royal Society for Protection of Birds Reserve and beyond to Culbin Forest & Nature Reserve.

The Harbour, marina, river mouth and beaches are all two minutes walk away at the edge of Fishertown. Trips to see the unique Moray Firth Dolphins run regularly from the harbour (one of only two colonies in the UK!); they can also be seen from many vantage points along the shore.

Nairn is also fortunate in having two championship Golf courses (both beside the sea) one a few minutes walk from the cottage!

Also beside the beach and two minutes walk from the cottage is Links park – promenade, playground, cricket pitch, putting green, swimming pool.

Nairn offers a wonderful and varied range of shops, restaurants, take-aways, bars, social activities, sports and recreation. There is a wide range of Folk nights, ceilidhs, as well as annual Books & Arts Festival, International Jazz festival & the Nairn Highland Games.
