Set in its own impressive walled garden, Mowbarton sleeps eight in comfort. It has a large farmhouse kitchen, two separate, oak-beamed sitting rooms, one with log-burning stove, a study (with single sofa bed) and a magnificent sun room.

The barn has been recently updated. In the well equipped kitchen there is a brand new range cooker as well as a microwave, dishwasher and large fridge/freezer.

There are two double bedded rooms, one with king-sized bed and an en suite bathroom; one double with linked beds and en suite shower room, and a fourth bedroom with adult-sized bunk beds. The large family bathroom (with separate shower) enjoys sensational views, and there is also a downstairs cloakroom plus a useful utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer. Outside is a very pretty walled garden with barbecue area, patio and a small lawn. There is also plenty of storage for bikes and a covered parking area for up to three cars.

Bed linen and towels are provided; electricity and oil central heating is included.

Just two miles from the delightful village of Wedmore (pubs, restaurants, butcher, farm shop, deli, chemist, gift shops, boutiques, golf course...) the property is in Mudgley, most famous for Roger Wilkin's Cider Barn (a short walk). Wedmore itself was once part of King Alfred's Estate (he burnt the cakes just a few miles down the road!) so the area is steeped in history and folklore. It is a short drive from Wells, Glastonbury, Cheddar, Wookey and a number of nature reserves. Have you seen those photographs of starlings massing in their fantastic formations? Here on the Somerset Levels you can enjoy the spectacle in real life.

The coast is about ten miles away; it's visible on a clear day. Look the other way and you can see Glastonbury Tor, even when it's misty. With the sandy beaches around Burnham-on-Sea less than half an hour away, and the Quantocks and Exmoor also within easy driving distance, Mowbarton is the perfect spot for a perfect holiday.
