Reviewer: A TripAdvisor User, Frankfurt am Main, Germany Arriving in Luetzen and looking for a place to rest my head, I found this motel. It was really quiet. Away from any highway, I was greeted by a well-bearded man, the owner of the pension. In the very back of the place there are old remains of an east-german farm ("LPG"). Visiting this part is like a travel down to a distant past. If you have a touch for adventure, you'll know what I mean. The place itself is clean and the breakfast is good. They serve eggs laid the very same day on site!Every time I have to go to the Leipzig area, I'll sleep there. This review is the opinion of a TripAdvisor user and not of TripAdvisor, Inc

Karl Ludwig Nietzsche, the father of Friedrich Nietzsche, a theologian by degree and by profession, first held a position as private teacher of the Princesses at the Altenburg Ducal Court. In 1842, he received, "auf allerhöchsten Befehl" (on the highest order) of the King of Prussia, Friedrich Wilhelm IV., the post of village pastor of Röcken near Lützen in the Province of Saxony, and, together with his mother and his two sisters, set up his own household there.

the grave is 3km from Luetzen .

This place is 15 km from the Hotel.

The Goseck circle is a Neolithic structure in Goseck in the Burgenlandkreis district in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. It consists of a set of concentric ditches 75 meters (246 feet) across and two palisade rings containing gates in defined places. It is considered the earliest sun observatory currently known in the world. Interpretations of the ring suggest that European Neolithic and Bronze Age people measured the heavens far earlier and more accurately than historians have thought.

Lützen - what's that, is it a place and where is it located? The Swedes
and Germany Using an expression from the Middle Ages, Lützen is located
just outside the gates of Leipzig. Furthermore, it is located on the
route of the Swedes when travelling to Southern Europe. You may ask why?
Because it is a site of pilgrimage for Swedish visitors. Their King
Gustav-Adolf II fell in battle in Lützen on November 6, 1632 fighting on
the Protestant side in Germany. Every child in Sweden is taught at
school to commemorate this fateful day as a national highlight.
